As springtime approaches, My thoughts have been on decorating for Easter and brightening up the garden for company. During a little downtime, I painted a rock as you see in the picture above. Obviously, this is not a talent of mine. Funny thing happened after painting the rock, later that evening I went outside to enjoy some fresh air and while sitting under the pear tree, I noticed a large dark mass hanging in the tree. As I got closer to investigate I noticed the mass moving. đł It was a very large honeybee nest. What was interesting was the nest was in the middle of the tree, and had no shelter. This apparently formed rather quickly as I had been out there the day before and had not noticed hundreds of bees flying around. So I began to wonder đ€, did God send the Bees because I have been so focused on them lately or because God knew the Bees would be here, he planted thoughts of Bees in my mind! Thats quite crazy I know but I do believe nothing is a coincidence. Most people are too busy and donât think about how God works in our daily lives. They think the world goes on by the works of man and nothing happens unless man created it or made it happen. Or even worse, itâs just a coincidence.

Well, God not only has put thoughts of honeybees in my head, but also the thoughts of kindness to others. Kindness in a world gone mad is a gracious gift to some. I see how humanity is accepting a life of speaking cruel words as just the norm for our culture. And so with time, society has allowed or even tolerated unkindness. We even talk down to the ones we love in the most insulting and sarcastic way. âItâs our culture, itâs how we talk in NYâ someone recently said to me. But because the people accept that as normal, does God look at it that way? The spoken word is a powerful tool for good or bad. Just because someone interprets it differently doesnât make it any better or worse, does it? Has this been just another form of division for humanity? An invisible destructive force. Words and language are different for each culture so I can see where the words spoken are interpreted differently.
So expressions of kindness can be in many forms and not just words of encouragement or love. Actions are worth a lifetime of memories for some. Just the act of holding the door for someone. "Thank you" is said in all cultures. "Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another;" Romans 12:10. Many of us have seen random acts of kindness go viral on social media. They are viral not only because they are rare but they bring feelings of happiness. It's in our nature to want to feel love and joy. Why canât we as adults show the kindness and respect we were once taught by our parents. This is not a lost concept. We haven't fallen that far down that we canât make things better for the future generations as well as ourselves. âFinally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethrenâ 1 Peter 3:8
One of my goals this year has been to say âYes Sirâ or âYes Mamâ in a respectful way. I want others to feel they are appreciated. Showing love and kindness to others especially in a difficult situation will usually bring calmness and light to the circumstance. I hope this encourages you. So today I want you to know how much I appreciate you and your willingness to get this far in my rambling blog. May God bless you today and every day! And if a Bee Hive shows up at your door, Bee kind and show some hospitality!

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
